Walmart Connector Features¶
Walmart is one of the world’s largest retailers, and Walmart Marketplace connects sellers with millions of customers. By connecting Walmart with Odoo using the Odoo Walmart Connector, you can automate most operations such as Import/Export Listings, Import Orders, Synchronize Inventory and Pricing, Import Returns, Import Settlement Reports, and more. Analyze your marketplace performance with detailed logs and reporting to grow your business efficiently.
Supported Features¶
- Multi Marketplace Selling
The connector supports selling across four Walmart marketplaces — United States, Canada, Mexico, and Chile — from a single Odoo database. Each marketplace is a separate instance with its own credentials, currency, and settings, so listings, orders, and stock stay separate while being managed in one place.
Walmart does not offer every API in every marketplace, so some features are limited to specific marketplaces. See Walmart Supported Marketplaces for the full list.
- Two Fulfillment Models
The connector handles both Seller Fulfilled orders, which you pick, pack and ship yourself, and Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) orders, which Walmart stores and ships for you. You can run both models on the same account.
Each fulfillment model uses its own warehouse and its own order workflow, so the two streams never mix in Odoo.
- Product / Listing Management
The connector facilitates the synchronization of listing information between Odoo and Walmart. This includes the product name, description, SKU, barcode, price, inventory, variants, images, and the product-type attributes Walmart requires.
Full listing lifecycle management: Import, Export, and Update listings directly from Odoo.
Import Walmart’s product types and their specifications, and map Walmart attributes and attribute values onto your Odoo products so listings are built with the values Walmart expects.
- Inventory Management
The connector enables centralized inventory management by synchronizing stock levels between Odoo and Walmart. Stock is exported based on your configured Stock Based On setting, so Walmart always reflects what you can actually ship.
Import stock levels back from Walmart, and import WFS inventory into a dedicated warehouse so you can see what Walmart is holding for you.
- Pricing
The connector exports prices from Odoo to Walmart, based on the pricelist configured on the instance, or on the product’s own sale price.
- Order Management
The connector seamlessly transfers orders placed on Walmart to Odoo, allowing businesses to manage order fulfillment, shipment, and invoicing directly within the Odoo ERP system. It also enables tracking information to be automatically sent back to Walmart, keeping customers informed.
Orders are acknowledged on Walmart automatically at import, or on demand.
Support for orders shipped in more than one package, with each shipment reported to Walmart as it is validated.
Automatic handling of Walmart-cancelled orders in Odoo, and cancellation of an order on Walmart from Odoo.
Filter which orders are imported by their Walmart status.
Synchronize (Walmart to Odoo) all orders and their order items which include:
the product’s name, quantity and price.
the shipping costs for the order.
the Walmart fees for the order.
the discounts applied to the order.
the taxes based on configuration.
- Customer Management
The connector creates customer records in Odoo for Walmart buyers, including their shipping address, email, and phone, and matches repeat buyers against existing contacts so they are not duplicated.
- Returns Management
The connector imports Walmart returns into Odoo as return records with their lines, linked to the original sale order, so returned goods can be received back into stock.
Issue a refund on a Walmart return directly from Odoo, and create the matching credit note.
- Finance and Settlement
The connector imports Walmart settlement reports, so you can see exactly what Walmart paid you for and reconcile it against your invoices and bank statement.
Each Walmart charge type is mapped to an Odoo account, so commission, shipping, fees, refunds and adjustments post where they belong.
- Feed Monitoring
Every export to Walmart is submitted as a feed, and the connector tracks each feed to completion and records the outcome for each individual item, including Walmart’s own error code and description.
A partial failure tells you exactly which item failed and why, instead of failing silently.
- Automation and Workflow
Enhance your business operations with automated processes for importing orders, exporting inventory, exporting prices, updating order status, importing returns, and importing settlement reports on a scheduled basis.
Additionally, establish automated workflows to confirm orders, create invoices, validate invoices, and register payments, with a separate workflow for seller-fulfilled and WFS orders.
- Webhooks
The connector subscribes to Walmart notifications so order and return changes reach Odoo as they happen, rather than waiting for the next scheduled run.
- Logging and Troubleshooting
Every operation writes a log, at the level of detail you choose on the instance, and imported records pass through queues where you can see what succeeded and what failed.
Optional activities and notifications alert the responsible user when an operation fails.
Synchronization¶
The connector synchronizes data in three ways: Walmart notifications, scheduled actions, and operations you run yourself.
Available for the United States marketplace only.

Benefits¶
- Streamlined Operations
Managing listings, orders, stock and returns from Odoo removes duplicate data entry between Seller Center and your ERP, and reduces the errors that come with it.
One database covers every Walmart marketplace you sell in, and both fulfillment models.
- Improved Inventory Accuracy
Scheduled stock synchronization keeps Walmart availability aligned with Odoo, reducing the risk of overselling, or of listings showing as out of stock while you still have inventory.
WFS stock is imported into its own warehouse, so what Walmart holds and what you hold are never confused.
- Faster, Clearer Fulfillment
Orders arrive in Odoo ready to be processed, are acknowledged on Walmart automatically, and tracking goes back to Walmart as soon as the delivery is validated, keeping customers informed.
- Fewer Rejected Listings
Importing Walmart’s product types and specifications, and mapping your attributes to them, means listings are built with the values Walmart expects. When something is still rejected, the per-SKU feed result names the exact field.
- Financial Control
Settlement reports are imported, posted and reconciled inside Odoo, so marketplace payouts can be matched against invoices and bank statements without leaving the system.
Conclusion¶
The integration between Walmart and Odoo gives businesses a single place to run their Walmart operations. By synchronizing listings, orders, inventory, pricing, returns and settlements — across four marketplaces and both fulfillment models — the connector removes manual work, keeps marketplace and ERP data aligned, and makes failures visible down to the individual item. With accurate data and clear logs, businesses can process more Walmart volume with less effort and grow with confidence.
