Shipping Profiles¶

A Shipping Profile is a reusable set of shipping rules you create on Etsy. It defines where you ship from, where you ship to, how much shipping costs, and any optional upgrades buyers can choose. Etsy requires every physical listing to use a shipping profile.

The connector imports your Etsy shipping profiles into Odoo so you can pick one when exporting a product as a listing — without re-typing the shipping rules each time.

What Odoo imports¶

For each shipping profile on your Etsy shop, Odoo imports:

Profile Name — the title shown on Etsy.
Origin Country and Origin Postal Code — where you ship from.
Profile Type — Manual (fixed rates you set) or Calculated (Etsy calculates rates from package dimensions).
Domestic Handling Fee and International Handling Fee — extra fees added on top of the shipping cost.
Destinations — each destination country or region with its shipping cost (primary and secondary), shipping carrier, and minimum / maximum delivery days.
Shipping Upgrades — optional upgrades (for example Express) with their upgrade name, type, price, carrier, and delivery window.

Destinations¶

Each destination on the profile shows the country or region you ship to, the primary and secondary shipping cost, the shipping carrier, and the minimum and maximum delivery days.

Shipping Upgrades¶

Each upgrade shows the upgrade name (e.g. Express), its type, the upgrade price, the shipping carrier, and the delivery window.

How to maintain it¶

Shipping profiles are created and edited on Etsy, then imported into Odoo — you do not create them manually in Odoo.
Re-run the Master Data import whenever you add or change a profile, destination, or upgrade on Etsy.
On the instance, you can also set a Default Shipping Profile that is applied to new listings when none is selected on the product (see Create an Etsy instance in Odoo).

Note

A listing cannot be published on Etsy without a valid shipping profile. Make sure your profiles are imported before exporting products.
