These frequently asked questions cover the most common setup, shipping, and troubleshooting topics for the TeqStars SendCloud Connector. For help options, see SendCloud Connector Support Policy.

Getting Started

It connects Odoo to SendCloud, so you can ship with all the supported carriers through one integration. You create SendCloud delivery methods, use them on sales orders and on your website, and get a shipping label when you validate a delivery order. You can also track and cancel shipments from Odoo.

SendCloud connects you to over 25 shipping carriers, such as UPS, DHL and DPD. After you connect your account, the app imports the carriers and shipping products that your SendCloud account offers.

Yes. You can connect and set up multiple SendCloud accounts in the same Odoo database. Each account has its own shipping partner record with its own Public Key and Secret Key.

No. SendCloud does not support a sandbox or testing environment. If you try one, the app shows: Sandbox/Testing environment is not supported by SendCloud.

Setup

  1. Create a shipping partner and choose SendCloud as the provider.

  2. Enter your SendCloud Public Key and Secret Key.

  3. Click Get Integration Details to fill in the Integration.

  4. Click Retrieve Shipping Products to import the SendCloud products, carriers and services.

  5. Click Retrieve Sender Addresses to import your SendCloud sender addresses.

  1. Create a delivery method and set Delivery Type to SendCloud.

  2. Set Shipping Partner to configured SendCloud shipping partner

  3. Open the Configuration tab.

  4. Set the Delivery Type: Domestic, International.

  5. Choose the appropriate Sendcloud Product.

  6. Choose Service if you want specific service.

  7. Set Default Package Type as your need.

  8. Select Apply Shipping Rules? if you want to apply SendCloud shipping rules.

If you leave Service empty, the app sends Sendcloud Product selected on the delivery method to SendCloud and picks right service, based on the order.

When you tick Apply Shipping Rules?, SendCloud applies the shipping rules you configured before then creates the label and announces the parcel.

Some carriers need package dimensions. You give these dimensions in a package type and set it as the Default Package Type on the delivery method.

Click Retrieve Sender Addresses on the shipping partner to import your addresses from SendCloud. Each address shows details such as Company Name, City, Country, Vat Number, and Company. Tick Default Address on one address per company. You can also set a Ship From country on the shipping partner.

  1. Turn on Provide your customers with Service Point delivery options on the SendCloud integration.

  2. Select your Service Point carriers on the SendCloud integration.

  3. On the delivery order, choose service point supported Sendcloud Product.

The app sends selected service point details to SendCloud with the rest of the shipping information.

Daily Use

You can use them on sales orders and on your website checkout. The app gives you a shipping quote, so you see an accurate shipping price.

The label is created when you validate the delivery order. The app posts a message on the delivery order with the text Shipment created! and the tracking numbers.

Yes. You can use a single package or multiple packages for one shipment. For multiple packages, use Put in Pack on the delivery order. Make sure each package has a shipping weight.

Open the delivery order. Click the Tracking button, it will redirect to SendCloud Tracking URL if you have single parcel else it will paste the Tracking links for shipment in to chatter. you can use the tracking links to see the status and location of the shipment.

The app first uses the Ship From(Sendcloud) address on the delivery order. If that is empty, it uses the Default address based on the shipping partner. If neither is set, it indicates for select the Ship From(Sendcloud) address or set Default address to sender address.

Yes. You can cancel a shipment in SendCloud directly from Odoo.

Troubleshooting

The app found no address to ship from. Select a Ship From(Sendcloud) address on the delivery order, or tick Default Address on one of your sender addresses.

The app needs a shipping weight to create the shipment. Include the shipping weight during picking. If you use packages, make sure each package has a shipping weight.

You can only have one default address per company. Untick Default Address on the current default address first, then set the new one.

The shipping partner has no API credentials. Enter your Public Key and Secret Key first, then click Get Integration Details, Retrieve Shipping Products or Retrieve Sender Addresses again.

These messages show the error that came back while the app talked to SendCloud. Check your configurations and make sure you do not use a sandbox account, which SendCloud does not support.
