TikTok Shop Connector FAQs

Getting Started

Is this application compatible with both Odoo Enterprise and Community editions?

Yes. The connector works with Odoo Enterprise (On-premise and Odoo.SH) and Odoo Community. It does not work with Odoo Online (SaaS), which does not allow third-party apps.

Three finance features need the Accounting application from Odoo Enterprise: Auto Reconcile, Reconcile and Auto Process Statements?. Everything else works in Community.

What Python or server dependencies does the module require?

The TikTok Shop module depends on Base Marketplace, which brings in Odoo Sales, Inventory and Delivery. It needs no Python package beyond the ones Odoo itself ships with.

How do I connect my TikTok Shop account to Odoo?

Create an instance by navigating to Marketplaces ‣ Configuration ‣ Instance, click New, select TikTok Shop as the marketplace, fill in the TikTok App Key, TikTok App Secret and TikTok Service ID of your app, choose the Authorization Portal, save, and click Connect TikTok Shop Account. What information do I need to set up the connector?

An App Key, App Secret and Service ID from your app in the TikTok Shop Partner Center, and the app’s Redirect URL set to the OAuth Callback URL Odoo shows you. See Generate TikTok Shop API Credentials.

How do I test that my TikTok Shop connection is working?

Open your TikTok Shop instance record and click Test Connection. The message Successfully Connected means the shop’s authorization is valid.

Why was my authorization refused?

Most often because the app’s Redirect URL in Partner Center does not match the OAuth Callback URL on the instance, character for character. The callback is built from your Odoo database’s web address, so check that Odoo is reached at the address shown there.

Can I connect more than one TikTok Shop shop to one Odoo database?

Yes, one instance per shop. An account that authorizes several shops is refused, so create an instance for each shop and authorize it separately.

Markets

Which markets are supported?

The connector works with the shop you authorize, wherever it trades. What differs is the features each market offers: how parcels are shipped, whether part of an order can be cancelled, whether invoices are uploaded, whether payouts are read. See TikTok Shop Supported Markets for the full table.

Where do I choose the market of the instance?

You do not. The market is read from the shop that authorizes the app and shown as Shop Region. Everything that depends on the market follows from it.

Why can't I see some operations on my instance?

The Operations popup only offers what your instance can actually do. Import Manufacturers & Responsible Persons appears for Germany, Spain, France, Ireland and Italy, Export Invoices for local sellers in Brazil who enabled Export Invoices to TikTok Shop?, and Import FBT Inventory when the instance uses Fulfilled by TikTok. Can I change the Authorization Portal later?

No. It selects the host the authorization is asked of, which has to be known before the first token exists, so it is fixed once the instance is saved. United States shops use the United States portal, every other market the Rest of World portal.

Products And Listings

How are TikTok Shop products matched to Odoo products?

By the seller SKU. TikTok Shop carries the seller’s own code on every unit, and a listing is matched to the Odoo product with the same internal reference.

Why can I not export a listing?

A listing is checked before anything is sent. The yellow Not ready to send banner on the listing names what its category still asks for, such as a required attribute. The rest (its TikTok Category, pictures, SKUs, title length) is checked when you export, and anything missing is written to the log. See Export Products From Odoo and Attribute Mapping.

How many products can I export at once?

Up to 80. A product is created one request at a time, so a larger selection is asked for in more than one go.

Does changing a product send it for review again?

Yes, changing the product itself does. The price and inventory are sent to TikTok Shop on their own, so neither sends the product for review.

Why did a variant disappear from TikTok Shop after an update?

Variants are sent only when one of them is new to TikTok Shop, and then all of them are. A variant left out of that list is deleted by TikTok Shop. Keep the listing’s variants complete in Odoo before sending it.

Stock And Orders

Why is my stock not reaching TikTok Shop?

Check that each TikTok warehouse has its Warehouse and Stock Location set, and Enable Import/Export Stock? switched on. A warehouse without a Stock Location keeps the quantity TikTok Shop already holds for it. See TikTok Warehouses.

Why are my orders not being imported?

A new instance imports Awaiting Shipment orders only. Add the statuses you also want to TikTok Order Status on the instance’s Orders tab, and add the later statuses on any instance that uses Fulfilled by TikTok, because those orders never wait to be shipped.

Do I have to report tracking numbers myself?

Only where you ship the parcel yourself, and then the connector reports it for you. Set the carrier’s TikTok Shipping Provider Code so it can. Where the label is bought from TikTok Shop, or TikTok Shop’s carrier takes the parcel, it already knows. See TikTok Shop Update Order Status From Odoo.

Can I ship part of an order?

Yes, where TikTok Shop allows the order to be split. Some markets ship every unit of a product together; validating a delivery that would leave part of such a product behind asks you to confirm first, because TikTok Shop could not be told about it afterwards. The confirmation shows, per product, what was Ordered and what is Going now.

Finance

Where do payouts come from?

Payouts are read by Import Statements, along with the statements they settle. See Import TikTok Shop Statements In Odoo.

Why is my payout still in Draft?

A payout is only turned into accounting entries once every statement it carries is paid. Until then what reaches the bank is not final.

Why is the statement import refused?

The instance has no Statement Journal. Set it on the Finance tab. On a confirmed instance, click Reset first, then Confirm again. See Finance Configurations.

Why can't I use Auto Reconcile?

Auto Reconcile requires the Accounting application from Odoo Enterprise. In Odoo Community it stops with “Auto Reconcile is not supported in Community.” The payout’s bank statement is created in Community too; reconciling it needs the Accounting application of Odoo Enterprise. Automation

Nothing runs automatically. Why?

The scheduled actions are created inactive. Switch on the ones you want on the instance’s Automatic Jobs tab, which is visible to Odoo administrators only. See Automatic Jobs Configurations.

Do webhooks replace the scheduled imports?

No. They complement them. A notification can be lost, so the scheduled imports stay active and remain the source of truth. See Webhook Configurations.

Why is a webhook address refused?

TikTok Shop accepts only a secure address (https://) with a domain name and no custom port. The addresses are built from your Odoo database’s web address, so Odoo must be reached at such an address.

What should I check if synchronization fails or I see errors?

Use Test Connection on the instance to confirm the shop is still authorized.
Check the feature is available in your market. See TikTok Shop Supported Markets.
Confirm the relevant scheduled action is active; they are created inactive.
For stock and orders, check each TikTok warehouse has its Warehouse and Stock Location. See TikTok Warehouses.
